National Almond Day

National Almond Day is February 16th, ushering in the start of bloom in the Central Valley of California. The bloom event takes place every year between the middle of February and middle of March and can set the stage on nut development for the new crop. Weather is expected to be ideal this year as we have had the right combination of chill hours, but warm enough in the day to keep the bee's busy pollinating. With the lack of exports due to supply chain issues and good inventories, almonds are a great value right now with markets a bit depressed. These dynamics will most likely hold through this season with continued advantageous buying opportunities.
